- The Ministry of Employment and Labor, KB Kookmin Bank, and Daejeon Metropolitan City to host a job fair on November 19 (Wednesday), at the Daejeon Convention Center

The “Youth’s Tomorrow (My Job) with the Ministry of Employment and Labor/2025 KB Good Job Daejeon Job ‘Festival’,” jointly hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Kim Young-hoon), KB Kookmin Bank, and Daejeon Metropolitan City, will be held on November 19 (Wednesday), at Exhibition Hall 2 of the Daejeon Convention Center.

This job fair is the tenth and final event of the “Region-Specific Job Fairs”* promoted this year by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in cooperation with local governments and companies. The event will be held in Daejeon, a city of science and technology, in collaboration with KB Kookmin Bank, which has been operating the “KB Good Job” job fairs since 2011.

Approximately 200 competitive small- and medium-sized enterprises will participate in the job fair and operate recruitment booths. In particular, “Promising Youth-Friendly SMEs,” jointly selected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as well as Daejeon’s promising high-growth companies (D-Unicorn companies), will gather in one place to meet young talent with whom they can build the future together.

At the venue, a wide range of side events and on-site programs will be offered, including a Career “Fitting Zone”where participants can receive employment, job, and résumé consulting from professional consultants; a “Job-ing Zone” featuring job tarot readings and four-cut photo booths; a Mirror Interview Zone consisting of mock interview video recording and feedback; and virtual reality (VR) and simulator-based job experience booths themed around Daejeon’s specialized industries.

In particular, the Ministry of Employment and Labor will operate an experiential promotional space called “Job Story 24,” designed in the format of a convenience store, offering services such as vocational aptitude tests, job policy searches, and policy quizzes. Through this initiative, the Ministry aims to publicize Employment and Welfare Plus Centers, which are really close to citizens, in a more accessible and user-friendly manner, while also providing personalized employment support programs tailored to individual participants.

KB Kookmin Bank has also prepared practical support measures for young people and companies. Interview participants will receive interview support payments of KRW 10,000 on a first-come, first-served basis (up to 300 people), and companies that hire regular employees will be provided with subsidies of KRW 1 million per hire (up to KRW 10 million per company), further boosting the on-site hiring atmosphere.

Minister Young-hoon Kim of the Ministry of Employment and Labor stated, “This job fair is a representative model of cooperation created through the combined efforts of the central government, local governments, and the private sector as one team.” He added, “I hope this will serve as an opportunity for young people to find jobs that suit them and for companies to meet talented individuals and grow together.” He further emphasized, “The government will expand the budget for youth employment and reorganize related programs in a way that prioritizes and supports regional youth, thereby creating more opportunities for each and every young person.”
