- Ministry of Employment and Labor to carry out the second 2025 “On-Site Prevention and Inspection Day” for two weeks from 16 June
- Anonymous Reporting Center to operate concurrently (16 June – 4 July) to protect workers’ labor rights

The Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) announced that it will operate the year’s second “On-Site Prevention and Inspection Day” intensively for two weeks, beginning June 16.

This round targets 4,000 small enterprises whose labor management is weak, as identified by the MOEL’s new High-Risk Workplace Selection System* introduced this year for labor inspection administration.
*The system selects enterprises with poor labor management by linking data such as past complaint records (violations of the law), filings and approvals of work rules, arrears of the four major social insurances, and hiring/termination records.

MOEL officials will visit these “vulnerable” workplaces before wage arrears or similar damages occur, guiding them on overall labor management and ensuring on-the-spot improvements, thereby reducing subsequent complaints and reinforcing systematic prevention.

In addition, for three weeks from June 16 to July 4, the MOEL will receive anonymous reports of labor-rights violations, which will feed into concentrated, planned inspections in the second half of the year. Key items include:

① Wage arrears
②  Long hours and unpaid labor resulting from misuse of the inclusive wage system
③ Unreasonable discrimination against non-regular workers
④ Violations of work–family balance support systems such as parental leave

Yu-jin Kim, Director-General of Labor Policy, emphasized, “While relief for harmed workers is important, we must also strengthen efforts to prevent harm and to protect the rights of incumbent workers who find it difficult even to file a complaint. We will further enhance proactive prevention through more systematic management of vulnerable workplaces.”
