The Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Lee Jae-kap) launched on Oct. 24 the Citizen Advisory Groups for Employment and Labor Innovation through which the general public can get directly involved in the policy implementation process and offer advice and opinions.

Last August MOEL invited applications from people interested in employment and labor administration to join the Advisory Groups and selected a total of 144 people as members of the Advisory Groups in the following three areas: better employment for women and vulnerable groups, wages and working hours, and workplace safety.

The Citizen Advisory Groups will carry out various activities, including suggesting innovative ideas for employment and labor policies and projects, holding discussions on relevant issues and topics, and participating in policy surveys and assessments.
